About MCGC
Founded in 1980, the Mentone Community Garden Club has a multicultural membership of over 100 participants, brought together by a passion for gardening and growing veggies.
Upon joining, Members are allocated a plot of land for their use and granted access to a communal pool of gardening equipment. Like most community gardens, we emphasise the use of organic methods for growing, weeding and pest control.

Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings
Saturday, 16 August 2025
The Garden Club held a very successful sausage sizzle at our local Bunnings in Mentone.
Thank you to everyone who came along and bought a sausage or two. And thanks to all our members who gave their time, energy and support of our major fundraising event for the year.
The funds go toward improving communal areas at the garden, purchasing more tools and equipment, and maintaining a safe and thriving growing environment for members and guests to enjoy.
